Environment Canada issued hundreds of air quality and heat warnings this past weekend alone with more expected throughout the remainder of the summer.

High temperatures, wildfire activity, and lower-than-normal amounts of rain are creating issues across the country, with some cities finding themselves in the top ten list of worst air quality in the world.

Canada’s 2025 wildfire season has become the second-worst on record.

The country has been subject to extreme heat and worsened air quality for weeks, and experts say the rest of August will likely follow a similar path.
