Car set ablaze on Dundas golf green

First Published:

An unsettling scene at the picturesque Dundas Valley Golf & Curling Club.

Hamilton police and fire crews were called to the course on Woodleys Lane around 5 a.m. Monday.

They were responding to reports of a car fire on one of the course’s greens.

Investigators tell CHCH News that an apparent joy ride on the course preceded the vehicle being abandoned and set ablaze.

It took firefighters about 30 minutes to extinguish the inferno. The car was totally destroyed and damage to the golf green is significant.

The investigation continues.
