Hamilton Police are investigating after a driver crashed and ended up on a downtown sidewalk.

Officers were called to King St. E  near Wellington Ave. N just before midnight Thursday.

Reports from the scene suggest the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a light post before stopping on the sidewalk.

Both the driver and passenger had only minor injuries.
