A Burlington park was severely vandalized with swastikas and other offensive, racist slurs.

Police were called to Tansley Woods Park when a passerby noticed the Holocaust related graffiti. They are investigating but they know the playground was hit with spray paint last night.

Some of the graffiti was too vulgar and profane to publish and show on-air. Other areas of the playground equipment had the word “auschwitz” written on it and a picture of a wall was tagged with more graffiti that reads “the end is near”.

The city tweeted an apology to the people who saw the vandalism and will be removing the offensive material as soon as possible.
