The Bulldogs’ Foundation is donating $50,000 to FOOD4KIDS Hamilton.
The foundation works in partnership with Hamilton school boards to feed at risk children breakfast.
But with COVID-19 prompting school closures, the organization wanted to find another way to help.
“With schools closed for the near future, we felt it important to ensure those children who need it most will continue getting the food they need,” said Michael Andlauer, Bulldogs’ Foundation Chair, and owner of the Hamilton Bulldogs.
FOOD4KIDS Hamilton provides packages of healthy food for kids with limited or no access to food each weekend.
They deliver over 1,300 healthy food packages to 66 schools across the city.
During the closures they are providing for those in need by mailing gift cards to families registered in their program.
