Residents in Buffalo continued to dig out of more than two metres of snow Saturday.

They may soon have a new problem on their hands.

Warmer temperatures and rain this weekend have officials concerned about flooding in the area.

The city is still under a driving ban to allow dump trucks and other removal equipment to continue their work, clearing snow from the roads.

Many took the day to stock up on supplies, some even pulling groceries along on sleds.

Residents got busy removing snow from rooftops, fearing the snow, made even heavier with the rain, could cause a collapse.

In other parts of town neighbours got organized, helping with shovelling for the greater good, while others remembered to harrowing last few days.

Neighbours have also been cooking large dinners and sharing food with others because of the store closures.

Residents will be extra vigilant for potential flooding in the days ahead.

The forecast tomorrow calls for a high of 8 degrees but the bigger problem is Monday’s expected high of 16.
