A Canadian activist is hoping Canada will follow Britain’s lead and partially lift a ban on gay men donating blood.
Adrian Lomaga dropped his lawsuit against Quebec’s blood agency in April, after Health Canada lawyers told his lawyers they were working on rule changes.
He says he’d be satisfied if Canada follows the United Kingdom and allows gay men who haven’t had sex in the previous 12 months to donate blood.
