There are reports surfacing that BlackBerry has had preliminary talks with buyers and may close a deal on a sale as early as November.

BlackBerry announced last month it had formed a special committee of board members to “explore strategic alternatives.” The Wall Street Journal says the committee wants to sell the company as soon as possible. And this week’s announcement that Microsoft is buying Nokia’s phone division likely adds pressure. Most analysts predict any BlackBerry deal will likely include several buyers, with each taking part of the company.
