Award-winning stage actor Brent Carver dies

Tony-winning Canadian stage actor Brent Carver has died.

Carver’s family says he died Tuesday in his birthplace of Cranbrook, B.C.

Carver won the 1993 Tony Award for best actor in a musical for his starring role in “Kiss of the Spider Woman.”

He is being remembered for his natural love of theatre and zest for life.

He was 68.

The Stratford Festival, where Carver performed in many productions, said it will hold a celebration of life for him when public health conditions allow.
