ATV crash in Wainfleet leaves two children with serious injuries

Two young children had to be airlifted to McMaster Children’s hospital after an ATV they were riding on lost control.

Just after 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Niagara Regional police were called to a home in the area of Wellandport Rd and Regional Rd 27 in Wainfleet. A three and four year-old were riding on the ATV driven by a 30-year-old man when he lost control.

The children remain in hospital, the three-year-old is in serious but stable condition, the four-year-old is in critical but stable condition. The adult male was not hurt.
