Animation Industry Day at Sheridan

Representatives from Canada’s top film, media and entertainment companies gathered at Sheridan College Thursday to hire Canada’s future stars in animation and digital effects.

Prospective employers viewed projects from students in the Animation and Computer Animation programs, who are looking for their dream job.

“At the end of it all, they get a portfolio, basically a nice, tightly wrapped showcase of what they’re capable of, and they take that into the industry, and hopefully they can land some jobs,” says Tony Taratini, professor of animation.

Some of the prospective employers include Pipeline Studios, Mercury Filmworks and Rockstar Games.
