The alleged driver of a getaway car used during an armed robbery in Grimsby has turned herself into police.

Niagara police said three men entered the Petro Canada gas station near Casablanca Blvd. around 4:30 a.m. on Aug. 1 and demanded cash from the lone employee.

One of the suspects armed with a pistol fired one shot at the employee. Officers said the shot missed them striking a wall. The employee was not injured.

Police believe the suspects arrived and fled the scene in a possibly red Hyundai Elantra.

On Sunday, 26-year-old Rebecca Collingwood of Hamilton turned herself into police as the alleged driver of the getaway car.

Collingwood was arrested and charged with one count of robbery involving a firearm.

Niagara police are still searching for 24-year-old Marcus Roy of Hamilton. He is wanted for robbery and fail to comply with probation order.

Detectives are also looking to identify suspects two and three.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the lead detective at 905-688-4111, option #3, ext. #1009336.
