After two bodies found, police say husband killed wife then killed himself

First Published:

Police in a town north of Toronto are investigating after they say a man killed his wife and then killed himself in a case of intimate partner violence.

South Simcoe police say officers were called to do a well-being check at a home in Bradford West Gwillimbury on Friday around 6 p.m.

Police say they found the bodies of a man in his late 60s and a woman in her late 50s.

Police say the alleged killing and suicide happened “in the days” before officers were called.

In a news release Tuesday, police say they are “actively investigating the reasons that motivated this tragic incident.”

Police say the couple had lived in Bradford for decades and there had been no police calls to the house before.
