Actor and comedian Bob Saget died from an accidental blow to the head, his family said in a statement.

Saget was found dead on Jan. 9 in a Florida hotel room. He’d performed in the area the night before as part of a stand-up tour.

His family issued a statement saying authorities had determined that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something but thought nothing of it and went to sleep.

The family says no drugs or alcohol were involved.

At the time of his death, authorities said there were no signs of foul play or drug use.

The 65-year-old was best known for his roles as single dad Danny Tanner on TV’s “Full House” and longtime host of “America’s Funniest Home Videos.”
