Human remains found at Hamilton beach

First Published:

Hamilton police say human remains have been found near Cherry Beach Rd. in Hamilton.

They say a man was walking along the Lake Ontario shoreline on Monday where he came across what he believed to be a human femur bone. The man brought the bone into the East End station.

It was sent out for testing and was confirmed to be human.

Hamilton officers say they are currently searching along the shoreline for any additional remains. The case has been turned over to the coroner’s office.

Police are asking any residents who come across anything that could possibly be human remains to not remove it from the area but to call police at 905-546-4925.
