What’s open and closed on Victoria Day

Here’s a look at what’s open and closed this holiday weekend in and around the Golden Horseshoe Area.

Government offices and other services
Government offices and municipal buildings are closed on Monday. Also, there will be no mail delivery and banks will be closed.

Garbage Collection
There is no change to garbage collection in Niagara Region on Monday. There will be no garbage pickup in Hamilton.

Grocery stores
Most grocery stores will be closed on Monday, but some garden centres are open.

Transit
GO Transit will operate on a Saturday schedule on Monday.
The HSR will be operating on a Sunday/Holiday Schedule on Monday.

Beer and Liquor
All LCBO and Beer Store locations will be closed on Monday.

Libraries
All Hamilton, Lincoln, Burlington, Niagara Falls, and Brantford Public Library branches will be closed on Monday.

Shopping centres
Most malls will be closed on Monday.

Tourist attractions
Many tourist attractions will be open Monday including the CN Tower, Ripley’s Aquarium, Toronto Zoo, and Royal Ontario Museum. The Art Gallery of Hamilton is open Monday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
