Four people arrested after report of weapons at Georgetown high school

First Published:

A Georgetown District high school was put into lockdown Thursday after a call came in that someone may have seen a weapon.

Exclusive video captured by CHCH News shows a Halton police officer carrying what looks like a black hand gun.

She’s seen walking down a grassy hill just outside Georgetown District High School and passing it off to another officer in an unmarked vehicle.

Halton police say they can’t confirm the object is an actual gun.

Four people were arrested in connection to a weapons call just before school broke for the Easter long weekend.

Officers, including tactical teams, swarmed the high school as it was put into lockdown. Other area schools were put into ‘hold and secure.’

No one was hurt and students were picked up by their parents at Gary Allan high school.
