India, Pakistan agree to uneasy truce after intense escalating conflict

After India and Pakistan engaged in some of the most intense fighting those countries have seen in decades, they’ve come to an uneasy truce.

Four days of escalating conflict that included fighter jets, missiles, and drones killed dozens of civilians and military officials seemingly ended as abruptly as it began.

New details reveal a number of phone calls on Saturday brought about a truce between the nuclear-armed neighbours.

Within hours of the deal being announced, each side was accusing the other of violating the ceasefire conditions.
