Officers conducting R.I.D.E. spot checks in Welland and Thorold stopped 600 vehicles over this Thanksgiving weekend.
Nine drivers out of 600 were required to take a breathalyzer. One of the drivers failed the test and was arrested. Another driver produced an “alert” result and has their license suspended for three days.
Police also gave out several tickets for various traffic related offences.
