4 people taken to hospital following serious crash in Milton

Four people were taken to hospital on Sunday after two vehicles collided in the Town of Milton.

Officers were called to a serious crash on Derry Rd. just east of Trafalgar Rd. around 7 p.m.

Police say a 24-year-old Mississauga man was driving a Toyota Camry eastbound when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck a westbound-traveling Volkswagen Jetta.

The driver of the Jetta, a 35-year-old Milton man, was taken to hospital along with three other passengers who were in the vehicle.

Investigators say they suffered non- life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Camry was not hurt.

The Halton Regional Police Collision Reconstruction Unit was called in to investigate. The area was closed for roughly four hours.
