2nd arrest in mail theft probe

Halton Regional Police have arrested a current Canada Post employee in connection with a recent theft investigation.

Susan Patricia Shantz, 61, of Hamilton is facing numerous charges including breach of trust and identity theft. Police say the thefts happened some time between January and March, and involved parcels that weren’t delivered.

Police got involved after Canada Post launched an internal investigation. They searched two residences and recovered stolen property with an approximate value of $8500.

A 32 year old Burlington man was arrested in connection with the theft yesterday.
