24 year old Hamilton man arrested with a loaded handgun

On May 12 just after 12:00pm, Hamilton police officers were called to investigate a disturbance in the area of Saint Andrews Drive.

Before the police arrived, it was indicated that the situation started to calm down however, one man was said to have a handgun.

Police were given a description of the man and began searching the area who was last seen on foot.

The man was located and arrested by police on Quigley Rd and Albright Ave and a loaded handgun was found.

24 year old, Sam McCarthy Alvin from Hamilton was arrested and facing a number of criminal and firearm related charges.
