2 suspects charged in connection to Oakville home break-in

Halton police have arrested two suspects connected to a break and enter investigation in Oakville.

Police say a victim attended Elements Casino in Dundas around 5 a.m. on Feb. 10 where his wallet and the keys to his home were stolen from his jacket.

Two male suspects were believed to be involved in the theft.

Shortly after the incident, police say a suspect attended the victim’s home in Glenhampton Rd. and Postmaster Dr. using his stolen house key to break-in.

Investigators say around $8,000 worth of personal items and bank cards were stolen. One of the suspects used the stolen bank cards to make fraudulent purchases in Oakville and Niagara.

Halton police executed a search warrant on May 16 after the suspects were identified.

As a result, a 50-year-old man from Hamilton and a 38-year-old from Grimsby were arrested and charged with break and enter and commit, drug related charges and two counts of unauthorized use of credit card.
