2 dead after stabbing at Brampton home, SIU called in

Two people are dead and a child is in hospital following a stabbing at a home in Brampton.

Peel Regional Police were called to the home late Wednesday for a possible domestic incident.

Officers found a man in the bathroom suffering from stab wounds. He was pronounced dead shortly after midnight.

A woman was also found in the home with serious injuries. She was taken to hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

A child from the home was transported to hospital for treatment of injuries. Police did not provide any further details about the extent of their injuries.

The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has been called in to investigate. The SIU investigates any officer-related incidents that involve death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault.
