15-year-old arrested for attack on elderly woman in Oakville

Halton police arrested a teenage boy in connection with an attack on a 79-year-old woman at a home on Melvin Dr. in Oakville this morning.

Police say the victim was transported to hospital and is being treated for non-life threatening stab wound injuries.

The suspect fled the scene before police arrived. The 15-year-old boy from York Region was arrested on a bus in Peel Region by Halton Tactical Rescue Unit officers.
