Over 11 000 runners packed Hamilton for the 122nd Around the Bay Road Race
Paul Kimugal was the top finisher in the 30 kilometer run for the third year in a row. He crossed the line in one hour, 35 minutes and 16 seconds. Risper Gesabwa finished first among the women with a time of one hour, 47 minutes and 37 seconds. The Around the Bay race is the oldest road race in North America, circling around Hamilton Harbour.
The run is in support of St. Joseph’s Health Care and this year they hoped to raise nearly half a million dollars.:
