Locked out U.S. Steel workers in Hamilton have once again moved their picket lines to the Burlington Canal Lift Bridge.
They’re trying to prevent a ship loaded with coke from heading out of Hamilton Harbour. They’ve been there since 10 o’clock Wednesday morning.
This is the fifth time workers have tried to stop a ship from leaving. In response, the United Steelworkers union received a cease and desist letter from the federal Justice ministry earlier this month.
900 Workers have been locked out of the U.S. Steel Hamilton Works plant since November 7th.
