Niagara police investigating double homicide in St. Catharines

Niagara police say the bodies of a man and woman were discovered at a home in St. Catharines on Thursday.

Police were called to the home in the area of Queenston and Lorne streets around 9 a.m. and say they found the two bodies when they arrived.

Very few details have been shared about this incident, but police say one person is in custody, and this is not believed to be a random act of violence.

The homicide unit has taken charge of the investigation and forensics were still processing the scene as of Thursday evening.
