Yoga for jocks

“Joga” started as “Yoga for jocks” but it’s evolved into a unique series of poses for all kinds of athletes. And since the bulldogs started about a year ago, it’s become an anticipated part of their routine.

Joga is a yoga program specially designed for athletes. Instructor Jenna Mangan walks players through a dynamic series of breaths and poses without holding any one stretch for too long.

Players stretch major muscles so they don’t seize up and get injured, keeping them off the ice. The joga program teaches players to unwind and release tension from their muscles. They also learn to calm their mind. At the end of each session, players practise a special technique they can use to get their head in the game.
