For the second day in a row, the Liberals brought out the big guns on the by-election campaign trail.
Federal Liberal leader Justin Trudeau accompanied Premier Kathleen Wynne on a campaign stop today in Niagara Falls. Yesterday the two were seen pounding the pavement in Thornhill.
Following their photo-op the premier was asked to explain why she wasn’t in Mississauga attending the meeting with mayors of communities affected by last month’s ice storm.
“My minister of municipal affairs and housing is there at the meeting, and as I say I had a conversation with mayor McCallion this morning so I am absolutely confident that our provincial voice is right there paying attention, our provincial ears are right there paying attention to the conversation.”
Residents of Niagara Falls and Thornhill will be going to the polls February 13th after the premier called by-elections on Wednesday.
