Wi-Fi to be installed on GO trains and buses

First Published:

Ontario’s Ministry of Transportation says Wi-Fi will be installed on GO trains and buses in an effort to improve customer service and convenience.

Metrolinx will test the service in March on two GO trains and four GO buses to examine service quality and collect feedback from users.

Signage will be posted to identify which vehicles offer the Wi-Fi service. Free Wi-Fi is already available at the majority of GO stations and bus terminals.

They will also be launching a new website that will feature a new trip planner, updated fare calculator, enhanced service and station information.

The province says Wi-Fi will eventually expand to all GO vehicles but did not specify when that would happen.
