West Lincoln man killed in head-on crash

A 40-year-old West Lincoln man is dead after his pick-up truck crossed the centre line and hit a transport truck head-on.

It happened around 4:30 pm yesterday on Regional Road 20 south of Concession 4 in West Lincoln.  The driver of the pick-up was cut out of his vehicle by firefighters but died before he could be taken to hospital.

The 52-year-old driver of the transport truck, who is from Port Colborne, was treated in hospital and released.

Police haven’t released any names.
