Wanted man discovered in trunk during traffic stop

A man wanted by Owen Sound Police was discovered in the trunk of a car during a traffic stop.

Grey County provincial police officers stopped a vehicle on Hwy. 21 in the Township of Georgian Bluffs around 1:30 a.m. Feb. 11.

During the stop, police discovered a man inside the trunk of the car.

He’s been identified as Michael Vanwyck Jr., 30, of Meaford.

He was wanted by Owen Sound Police and was arrested and turned over to them without incident.

The driver was charged with operating a motor vehicle without insurance.

She is scheduled to appear in court next month.
