New developments in the senate scandal Friday night with the RCMP saying Senator Pamela Wallin committed fraud and breach of trust in filing her expense claims improperly.
The allegations are contained in court documents released Friday showing the Senate and its auditors were ordered to turn over several versions of Wallin’s electronic Senate calendar.
They also requested billing statements from Wallin’s corporate and personal credit cards, statements for her Senate-supplied cell phones and all recordings and notes from Deloitte interviews conducted during their audit. Wallin has not been charged with a crime nor have the allegations been proven in court. She has paid back more than $140-thousand in improper expenses.
