Two people were sent to hospital after a violent four-car crash in Burlington.

Firefighters had to rescue the driver from a vehicle that ended up on top of a Mercedes at Walkers Line and Dundas around 7:30 last night.

The female drivers from both vehicles were taken to Joseph Brant Hospital and are listed in good condition.

The brightly painted truck was struck by a small, black compact that suffered significant damage — but the driver of that car  was able to walk away.

Police say the woman driving the truck has been charged with making an improper left turn.
