The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that QB Dan LeFevour has a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee and will miss the remainder of the season.

LeFevour suffered the injury in the 4th quarter of Saturday’s game against the Stampeders.

It is a crushing blow for LeFevour and the team.

The 27 year-old, third year player performed well during his 4 starts in place of the injured Zach Collaros.

This season he passed for 1276 yards and 4 touchdowns.  He rushed for 314 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Collaros is on the 6 game injured list and is scheduled to return for the September 20th game against Edmonton, but he can be activated sooner.

For now, the quarterbacking duties are in the hands of Jeremiah Masoli, Stephen McGee and Jacory Harris.

Head coach Kent Austin is expected to update the situation Wednesday.
