NDP Leader Thomas Mulcair spent the day touring Toronto and St. Catharines and is attending a rally tonight in Brantford.

It will be the first appearance by a major party leader in Brantford during this election campaign.

During a campaign stop in Toronto, Mulcair attacked his opponents plans for tackling the budget.
“Governing is about priorities. And we’ve watched the Conservatives run up 8 deficits in a row…now the Liberals are now telling us that they want to run several years of deficits. I’m tired of watching governments put that debt on the backs of future generations. Stephen Harpers approach has always been ‘live for today, let tomorrow take care of itself.’ At some point you have to start having different priorities.”
