Ontario education minister Liz Sandals stopped by Dr J Edgar Davey elementary school in Hamilton today to see how students are using technology in the classroom.

Starting this school year, the province will invest $150 million in classroom technology that supports learning.

“All kids have an opportunity to learn about technology, because we know kids are going to use technology in the future. School becomes the equalizer and allows every child to learn.”

The fund will give students more chances to become tech savvy with tablets, netbooks, cameras and software. They’ll also train teachers to find the most effective ways to use the technology to support learning in the classroom.
