A new lounge opened its doors Sunday in Hamilton’s core, appropriately named Steel Lounge.

It shows just how diverse the city is becoming. While it is an LGTBQ establishment, all are welcome.

The opening is a dream come true for owner Emily Groom. “Tt’s been a long time coming for me and my family and the LGTBQ community, it’s been a while, we are excited to open our doors today.”

The building was purchased two years ago and the owners say Hamilton is long overdue for a place like this.

Steel Lounge offers food, drinks and a place to hang out.
