St. Mary’s girls OFSAA hoops champs

In what has practically become the norm, the St. Mary’s Crusaders won the 2015 OFSAA AAA Girls Basketball Championships in Windsor Saturday night with a 50 to 35 win over St. John’s College Green Eagles from Brantford.

St. Mary’s captures their sixth in a row OFSAA championship, 15th overall. They came into the tournament as the number 1 seed and were led in the final game by Mackenzie Trpcic with 19 points.

St. John’s, who came in as the number two seed, were led by Kendra Van Leeuwen with 14 points.

Hamilton St Thomas More won the bronze medal.
