St. Catharines man arrested for sexual assault

Hans Eduard Unruh, 65, of St.Catharines, was arrested yesterday for sexual assault.

In July 2016 the Niagara Regional Police became involved in the investigation for a St. Catharines man who was accused of sexually assaulting a 17 year old female. The assault took place at Holy Cross Secondary School, where Unruh was a teacher from January 2011-January 2012.

Unruh is being charged with sexual assault and sexual explotation.

He was set to attend a bail hearing today at the Robert S.K. Welch courthouse in St.Catharines.

Detectives are asking any other victims to come forward.
