Shots fired at an apartment building in Burlington

First Published:

Update: Halton police have made an arrest after an early morning shooting in Burlington. Three males were arrested Friday evening in Mississauga. Two loaded hand guns and a vehicle were also seized.

At around 4:30 this morning residents heard several gunshots at 700 Ross Street. No one was injured and police recovered several shell casings in the lobby of the building, but it is unclear in the shots were fired inside the lobby or just outside on the steps. Police and the forensic unit were also seen searching a shed this morning, just off to the side of the building, but it is not known what they were looking for.

Residents say they are shocked because it is normally a very quiet neighbourhood.

Police are currently speaking with witnesses and residents for more information, but do say they think this was a targeted shooting.

They are asking anyone with any information to call them or Crime Stoppers.
