Seizure suspected in St Kitts home crash

First Published:

A minivan has crashed right through two walls of a house in St Catharines.

Amazingly the elderly driver wasn’t seriously hurt — but the house has extensive damage.

The van plowed right through the Dundonald Street home. Niagara Regional Police believe it veered off the street, and drove over the front lawn before driving straight through the front and back of the house, where it came to a stop in the backyard.

The man driving had a seizure and lost control of the van; he’s been taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The woman who lives in the home was upstairs at the time — and luckily not in her living room where the van went through. She wasn’t hurt.

No charges have been laid. Police continue to investigate.
