Three elementary schools in Burlington had quite the scare today, when they were ordered to lock their doors.

Halton Police were called after reports of a man washing his hands in a creek with a gun in his waistband. That’s when nearby schools Brant Hills, Paul A Fisher and St Mark’s were told to hold and secure. The doors were locked for an hour, but classes went on as usual.

A trail of blood led police to a house on Coldstream Dr, where a man was found inside and arrested. Police say despite the initial 911 call, there was no gun involved and there is no danger to the public.
