RCMP have identified the suspect in Saturday’s shooting that injured two Mounties outside of Edmonton as 34-year-old Shawn Rehn.

Auxiliary Constable Derek Walter Bond and Constable Matthew Wynn were shot early Saturday morning while confronting a man about a stolen vehicle near a casino in St. Albert.

Bond has since been released from hospital but Wynn remains in hospital in serious condition.

Rehn was found dead in a rural home near a golf course hours after the shooting.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
