Raptors assistant coach promoted to head coach

The Toronto Raptors have found their new head coach.

Nick Nurse will be replacing his former boss Dwane Casey, whom he spent the past five seasons with as an assistant coach. Contract terms are still be completed.

Dwane Casey was fired last month after the Raptors were swept in the playoffs by Cleveland. Toronto went 59-23 this past season, the best record in the Eastern conference.
