After two years of negotiations, the Six Nations Confederacy has signed an agreement with Samsung as part of the Liberal government’s $7 billion deal with the Korean company.
The deal between Six Nations, Samsung and the Pattern Energy Group will see a 250 megawatt wind and solar project built in Haldimand County. The deal is considered to be historic, and it’s also a victory for Six Nations. But as Cristina Tenaglia reports, not everyone is happy – and those who oppose the project say they’re going to fight it.
