Body found during search for missing man

First Published:

Halton police say they have found a body during their search for a missing 24-year old Burlington man.

David Thomson vanished without a trace on July 28th, but police weren’t called until August 13th. Police say this is not the first time Thomson has disappeared, his family says he has a history of depression, and did not take his medication with him.

Police found the body in a heavily wooded area near Appleby and Upper Middle Road this afternoon.

While they are unable to confirm the identity until an autopsy is conducted, it is believed to be Thomson. His family has been notified, and foul play is not suspected.
