Police investigating suspicious death in St. Catharines

Niagara Regional Police are investigating a suspicious death in St. Catharines.

Police say a person walking on Queenston St., between Calvin St. and Church St., noticed an injured man on the sidewalk around 1:30 a.m. Friday.

The man was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to hospital, where he died.

Detectives are treating it as a suspicious death and will be canvassing the neighbourhood and conducting a ground search.

The man’s identity is not yet known.
