Police investigate murder on Stoney Creek mountain

Hamilton police are investigating the city’s 10th homicide of the year.

They were called to 134 Highland rd on Stoney Creek mountain just before noon after reports of “family trouble.”

A 60-year-old man suffered multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead in hospital.

A male was arrested and charged with second degree murder. He is expected to appear in court Thursday morning.

Police say there is no concern for public safety and the homicide unit will continue to investigate.

The CHCH news cruiser was parked directly in front of the actual RESIDENCE the crime occurred – the home and entire front yard has been yellow tapped. Emergency vehicles were parked In the driveway of the home/scene of the crime. In a residential area of Highland Rd. Why even mention the school? Why imply the involvement of students? Terrible reporting. Making it sound like something it’s not. Unprofessional.
